DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The three new St. Louis County Public Works facilities are now equipped with 40 kilowatt solar arrays.
Funds for the solar panels were made through a Minnesota Department of Commerce program that provides incentives for solar energy systems on local government buildings.
The solar arrays are expected to cover 73 percent of the electrical usage at the facilities and takes into account the average cloudy days at each location.
The facilities are located in Culver and Kugler Townships and near the Whiteface Reservoir.
