Saturday, January 17, 2026 Doors 5:30 PM / Music 6:30 PM Spirit of the Lake Community Arts5401 E Superior St, Duluth MN 55804 $15 advance | $20 day of showAn intimate concert experience centered on connection. An Evening With concerts invite artists to go beyond the music, sharing stories, inspirations, and moments behind their work. These evenings are designed for attentive listening, reflection, and deeper connection between artist and audience. Shane Nelson is a songwriter from the Twin Ports area who has used music as a tool to communicate from an early age. Influenced first by the pioneer rock and roll artists he grew up with, and later by the wide range of music he sought out over the years, he’s shaped a style built on steady performing and writing. His upcoming album, The Music Saved My Life, has been three years in the making, created alongside the musicians who helped bring these songs forward, and comes from a personal stretch in his writing. For this solo performance at Spirit of the Lake Community Arts, Shane plays his songs with the same honesty and openness he brings to all his music. The set features music from The Music Saved My Life, along with other original songs. Centered around his fingerstyle acoustic guitar, with a few moments on piano, the evening has a warm, close‑up feel, centered on the stories and moments that shaped the music. |
