CLOQUET, MN (KDAL) – Although Cloquet Police have identified the suspect in the armed robbery of a convenience store on Saturday night, no arrest has been made.
Officers responded to the robbery of the Broadway Korner Store, 401 Broadway Street, around 8:45 p-m and set up a perimeter around the area where the suspect was last seen fleeing on foot.
Cloquet and Fond du Lac Police along with Carlton County Sheriff Drone teams and K9 units were used to try and locate the suspect. State Patrol troopers and St. Louis County Sheriff Deputies assisted in the search.
Several items believed to be connected to the robbery were located and an investigation led to a nearby residence where a search warrant was issued. Additional evidence was collected there but the firearm used in the robbery has not been located.
Residents in the area are asked to check home security and doorbell cameras and check garbage cans and dumpsters where items could have been hidden or discarded.
