SUPERIOR, WI (KDAL) – Following an investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, the Douglas County District Attorney will not be filing charges in connection with an officer involved shooting that occurred on May 10th.
The case involved the shooting and wounding of Scott Roe and Macy Johnson in the area of East 7th Street and 6th Avenue East in Superior.
The investigation, that involved interviewing witnesses and body-cam footage, showed that Officer Ronald Robinson was lawfully entitled to use deadly force to defend himself when Roe threatened him with a knife.
The officer fired several shots which hit Roe and also Johnson, who was standing behind Roe at the time.
