DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Duluth Police are reminding motorists in Duluth about the traffic impacts of the Minnesota Mile race on Friday and the Fitger’s 5-K on Saturday.
West Skyline Parkway near Enger Tower and Hank Jensen Drive will close to traffic for the Minnesota Mile beginning at 3 p-m to about 8:15 Friday.
Enger Golf Course will remain open and is accessible from 24th Avenue West.
The race has been modified in accordance with guidelines from the State of Minnesota and will be run in waves of no more than 25 people at a time.
Saturday’s Fitger’s 5-K will affect traffic on Superior Street, London Road and I-35 ramps at 21st Avenue East.
Most of the course will be on a coned lane along the side of the road and drivers should drive slowly and use extra caution during the race.
Roads will be marked at 5:30 a-m and will return to normal by 12:15 p-m.
This race is also limited to groups of runners that will start at Fitgers on Superior Street and end on the Lakewalk behind Fitgers.
