DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – The City of Duluth has issued an apology for charging residents the increased storm-water fees earlier than planned.
The original proposal was set to take effect in January but the Public Utility Commission proposed that the new rate should go into effect on July 1st to give those affected by COVID time to prepare.
Since the fee was collected in January the PUC has now been requested to delay the new fee until August.
Homeowners currently pay 6.75 per month and that increases to 7.51 this year.
