UNDATED (KDAL) – The Department of Natural Resources and other state and county law enforcement agencies will increase patrols this weekend looking for intoxicated boat operators.
“Operation Dry Water” is a national campaign aimed at deterring boating under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
State lakes and rivers have been busier than usual this summer as people are getting out to enjoy water based recreational opportunities.
It is up to each boater to make sure they are driving sober to keep themselves and other boaters safe.
The increased enforcement continues through the 4th of July.
