UNDATED (KDAL) – The latest figures from the International Lake Superior Board of Control show the levels of the lake have reached the long term average for the beginning of May.
A wet April saw Lake Superior levels rise 5.5 inches compared to a normal increase of 3.2 inches over the month.
The water level now is 7.1 inches below the figures of a year ago.
Depending on weather, Lake Superior levels could go up by as much as 7 and a half inches during May.
