DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Duluth Police were alerted about a driver heading the wrong way on East 3rd Street around 5:15 a-m on Tuesday.
Responding officers found the vehicle stopped and facing the wrong way with the driver slumped over the wheel.
The 33 year old male from Duluth smelled of alcohol and showed other signs of impairment.
While taking the man into custody, officer noticed an empty handgun holster and located the weapon during a search of his vehicle.
The gun was reported stolen from a home that was burglarized in March.
Among the pending charges are 4th degree DWI, a felon in possession of a firearm, having a stolen handgun, wrong way driving, possession of an open container of alcohol while driving and driving after revocation.
