DULUTH, MN (KDAL) – Fort McCoy in Wisconsin is one of seven military bases that are processing Afghan refugees into the U-S.
The Landline Company, an airport shuttle service, is taking donations of basic necessities from the seven regional cities they serve and delivering them to Fort McCoy.
Donations from the public in Duluth can be dropped off at the mezzanine level of the airport between 8:30 a-m and 6:30 p-m each day.
Relocation officials say needed items include clothing for all ages, hygiene products and child specific items such as diapers, wipes and formula.
Monetary donations are also accepted at a Go Fund Me site http://bit.ly/LandlineDonation
