UNDATED (KDAL) – At the beginning of September, Lake Superior levels remain 10 inches above the long term average.
The International Lake Superior Board of Control says levels remained stable over the month of August but are just 2.4 inches below the record high to start September.
The water levels are expected to remain high over the next few months and will continue to present a risk for shoreline erosion and shore damage during high wind and wave events.
