(KDAL) - A motorcycle accident on Wednesday afternoon has claimed the life of a 49 year old woman from the Mercer, Wisconsin area.  According to the Bayfield County Sheriff's Department, the woman was riding with several other motorcyclists when her bike hit a deer on County Highway C in the town of Bell.  The victim was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Ashland and then flown to the Essentia Hospital in Duluth where she was pronounced dead.  The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of family.
