MILWAUKEE, Wis. 9WSAU) - Lawyers for victims of clergy abuse call a plan by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, quoting here, "shameful."

The church filed a motion last Friday asking the court to set a mid-September deadline for sex abuse claims. A public awareness campaign would be conducted to let victims know about the deadline. After September 15 claims would be barred.

The lawyers say that doesn't give survivors of abuse enough time to process their decision whether to come forward.
