MADISON, WI (WSAU) Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne has asked the Wisconsin Supreme Court to reopen his lawsuit challenging the governor’s collective bargaining law.

Ozanne contends a justice who voted to dismiss the suit earlier this year had received free legal help from the firm which was defending Governor Scott Walker’s law. Ozanne argued the decision should be vacated because Justice Michael Gableman failed to disclose his relationship with the Michael Best and Friedrich law firm in Madison.

The original lawsuit, filed in March, said Republican lawmakers violated the state’s open meetings laws when they called a committee meeting to revise the collective bargaining law without giving proper public notice.
