The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for much of northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin from noon on Thursday until late Thursday night.  A prolonged period of heavy rain is possible through the area with totals of 2 to 4 inches in some places.  That much rain could lead to street flooding and those in flood prone areas should make preparations and be alert for potential warnings.  The watch area is generally along and south of Highway 2 in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
