MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WTAQ) - A sexual assault case against a 26-year-old former girls varsity soccer coach at Brown Deer High School has been dismissed. Emily Patterson had been charged in February with the sexual assault of a 16-year-old female student by school staff. The complaint indicated the pair became physically involved in January of this year. However, Court Commissioner Barry Slagle determined Patterson was not a school district employee at the time. The Milwaukee County District Attorney's office could still file new charges against Patterson.
