(Ely, MN)  --  Two people are dead after a two-vehicle crash near Ely late Thursday afternoon The Minnesota State Patrol says an eastbound car crossed the centerline on Highway 1/169 and collided head-on with another vehicle.  Both drivers were killed and a passenger was taken to the hospital.  Troopers have not yet identified the victims.
