(St.Paul, MN) -- Governor Pawlenty and Democrats had their first face-to-face meeting Wednesday afternoon as they try to re-do the bonding bill that the legislature passed but then pulled back before Pawlenty had the chance to veto it. House Bonding committee chair Alice Hausman says Democrats and the governor did not agree on a total dollar amount for the bonding bill, nor a list of projects. She says the governor began the discussion with floods and prisons. Democrats are leery of spending 89-million-dollars to expand the Moose Lake sex offender facility and want to look at other options.
