LANSING, Mich (WQTX) Those hoping to open new medical marijuana facilities in Lansing have seen their plans go up in smoke. On Monday night, the Lansing City Council voted unanimously to approve a moratorium on new establishments until next summer. Existing businesses can continue to operate—within the past week, about a dozen medical marijuana businesses opened in anticipation of the moratorium.
